LiveSurveys.com is a market research company that’s based in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL. Established in 1997, they have implemented survey solutions for many types of businesses, many of which rank in the Fortune 500.

When you join their survey panel, you will sporadically receive an email asking you to complete a survey. Incentives are usually offered by the 3rd party who is conducting the survey and will range in value from monetary compensation to prize raffles and other giveaways.

This is another marginal paid surveys company it’s one you get along with or without (IMHO), by that I mean that this type of surveys website will not send too many invites to take surveys throughout the year but when they do you may find that the reward offered is something that’s worth you wild. If not, you just delete the email and move on, at least that’s what I do and I’ve gotten fairly good at making judgments when the invitations do arrive.

For someone like me this website is well worth it because I enjoy trying new things and with a few additional rewards I methinks this is a registration that will be well worth your time. The registration is uncomplicated and fast and that’s always a plus (if you use Roboform you can complete this registration in under twenty seconds).

Alan Newman Research and Richmond Focus Group Center conduct hundreds of focus groups per year. A focus group is an informal, round-table discussion lead by a professional moderator. Most often, the chat is in regard to a service or a particular product and or advertising idea. “It was in focus groups that ideas like the automatic shut-off iron, bottled spaghetti sauce, and plastic shampoo bottles were conceived.”

Participants usually receive a cash payment as a token of their appreciation for helping with their research efforts. Focus groups generally last about 2 hours and can be lot of fun. They currently have a database of about 10,000 people from which they select participants for their groups.

I’m not a big fan of the form you need to filling order to become a member but you should probably be able to get it completed in about a minute or two. This is the type of site where it’s hit or miss. You’ll probably go through a long draught waiting for this company to even send you a questionnaire to see if you qualify but for someone like me who belongs to hundreds of these websites the formula are simple. Peruse your email a few times each day, select which invitations are likely to be the most rewarding, easy and perhaps even fun, then concentrate solely on those.

I hope you believe me when I state that eventually it gets much easier to pinpoint some highly rewarding paid surveys invitations than you might believe at first.

Get paid for focus groups, teleconferences and in depth interviews that pay you cash for your opinions

Blarry House Research is probing for open and communicative people who like to share their opinions in focus groups and earn some extra spending cash for their opinions and time. “Focus groups are informal discussions consisting of about ten people brought together to test a new product, evaluate an existing concept, or to share opinions on a variety of issues.”

I must warn that the registration form is a little bit too lengthy to be considered easy and it’s also counterintuitive which makes it tough especially for those with many children (which are one of the questions asked). Many of the topics they ask you to discuss consist of computer software, computer hardware, thoughts for new video games, taste tests which is another form of product testing, naming new food products, traveling, healthcare and telecommunications.

They state that the discussions usually last from 1 1/2 to 2 hours and require no training, furthermore you are paid $40 to $150 for your time and depending on the topic. Everything discussed in the paid surveys, focus groups etc. is kept strictly confidential; you can view their privacy page at their site but I can tell you that it’s quite solid IMHO.

I became a member in November, 2004 without expecting too much but within a month or so that all changed for me when they sent me an invitation to participate. However, when it arrived I didn’t remember that I had joined them or who they were. I knew I had joined many market research companies over the previous few months but I had to do a little research to find out when I had joined them and who they were.

In the email they asked me to supply some all-purpose information that I usually have to provide when I become a member of a paid surveys website, however I knew at that time that I was already a member of their site so I had probably given it before; I filled in the information again nonetheless.

The morning after I received a verification email that told me I was eligible to participate in a telephone interview which was about inkjet printers and that it would take lo longer than 10 minutes to complete plus I would be compensated $150 for doing so. The next morning I took the interview, it lasted only 4 minutes and within a week my check had arrived.

This was obviously a wonderful experience for me and since that time I’ve had three more invites to participate and they were for amounts of $40 (30 minute online focus group), $75 (another printer teleconference) and $200 for a special 3 day online focus group that required me to log in once each day and post my thoughts on the subject of stress (this took about an hour over the three day period which I thought was very painless for the compensation offered).

Overall, being a member of this website has been quite pleasurable to me and that’s why I rate this as an outstanding work from home opportunity. Two thumbs way up! By the way, you must be 13 to join.
